Tornadoes, floods, fires, hurricanes - all major disasters. As a caregiver, you have the additional burden of caring for a loved one who may or may not be able to get to a safe place. What plans do you have in place for moving yourself and your loved one if necessary? Some counties have a registry for your loved one who is unable to move to a safe location. They will send someone to assist you as needed. Be sure to take advantage of this service. Be aware of your elderly neighbors as well. A plan in place will bring peace whether or not it is ever necessary to implement the plan.
On a personal note: Happy Father's Day to all Dad's. Treasure every moment with them. My father's birthday was June 15th, sometimes falling on Father's Day. He never liked to miss out on gifts for both occasions! Early in my childhood, we began to celebrate his birthday on his spiritual birthday, March 3rd. Better chance of more presents! Happy Birthday in heaven, Dad.
