Psalm 3:4-5 "I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and He heard me out of His holy hill. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me."
Summer...How do you as a caregiver look at the summer schedule? Do you have children now who are home and able to shoulder more of the caregiving load or do they just add one more "to do" item on your already heavy list? Either way, summer brings change. Change is always good when it brings a fresh perspective. My children were great helpers but they also at times resented the amount of time it took for me to provide care for my mother-in-law as well as my father. (I had one upstairs and one downstairs for about 6 months.) This is a great time to 'train the next generation'. They will remember how you treated your parents and someday will pass that same care on to their children as they care for you.
