“Joy” -   Doesn’t just saying the word “Joy” bring a smile to your face?  Spring is arriving, birds are singing and building their nests; all the earth is resounding with the “Joy” of new life.  The life of a caregiver is not always filled with joy, but it should be overflowing with joyJoy in knowing each day brings us one step closer to heaven!  Joy in doing for others what they can no longer do for themselves.  Joy in serving. Joy in sharing your time with others.  This is not to say you should always be ‘Super Joy’.  Sometimes others actions, attitudes or demeanor are so annoying, it is hard to even like them!  However, we can choose to have joy.  Look at all you are doing for your loved one as if you were doing it directly for Jesus.  What an honor!  What a privilege!  In actuality, you ARE spending all your time and activities in service to the Lord; spend it with joy.  (J – Jesus    O – Others   Y – You!)

Scripture for Meditation:

James 1:2-5  My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
