February, 2017 Delay or Love?

Delay…Someday…maybe tomorrow…not now…How many times do we put off until tomorrow what we knew we needed to do today? (As in this month’s blog, which should have been posted yesterday.) This month is a reminder to tell those we are caring for how much we love and appreciate them. Time is fleeting and the opportunities to say, “I love you” may be few and far between.  Instead of sending flowers, a card, or some useless gift, take a moment and put your arms around your loved one and tell them how much they mean to you.  Your loved one may or may not understand your gesture but you will know you have not missed this opportunity.  In light of eternity…it matters!

1 John 4:11

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

Share God's Love

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy New Year… all of these greetings are full of happiness and cheer. Do you as a caregiver feel the joy, feel the happiness or are you overwhelmed with the burden of caring for your loved one? Are you distressed at the thought of having little to nothing under the tree for your loved ones? Do you even have a tree?  Stop, be still, breathe and remember – It was very dreadful on the first Christmas but God was coming for us despite interference from the government or all the inn keepers who turned a very pregnant Mary away.

God understands dark times, tiring times yet He was and is willing to be among us.  “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” I Corinthians 13:12.

Share God’s love! Turn on the Christmas music and Praise the Christ of Christmas!
